An Evening with Ray Russell & Friends– Live at Trading Boundaries
We are delighted to launch a new monthly Spotlight Series with the extraordinary Ray Russell — one of Britain’s most respected and innovative guitarists.
Ray opens the series with his band on Thursday 21st May, setting the tone for what promises to be a beautifully relaxed, intimate evening of world-class musicianship in our atmospheric venue. He'll be joined on stage by Tim Whitehead (Saxes), Rupert Cobb (Trumpet), Jim Watson (Keyboard), Ian Palmer (Drums) and George Baldwin (Bass guitar) presenting songs from their forthcoming album 'Dangerous Bends'.
Over the coming year, Ray will return once a month, each time inviting special guest musicians and long-time collaborators — friends and artists he has played alongside throughout his remarkable career. Expect exceptional playing, stories from the road, spontaneity, and a few surprises. This is music up close. Informal. Laid-back. Properly good.
