For 10 years there had been rumours of BRAND X reuniting, and then in late 2016 it happened. Founding members Percy Jones (Bass), John Goodsall (Guitar) along with longtime Drummer Kenwood Dennard pulled it off – and there was much rejoicing. Completing the band were Keyboard whiz Chris Clark and Percussionist Scott Weinberger. Fast Forward to 2019: Jaw-dropping performances at Ros-Fest, ProgtoberFest, ProgStock and Cruise To The Edge 2019 lead many fans to hail this: “The Best BRAND X of all time!” Rave reviews in The Huffington Post, Progression Mag, New York Times, Innerviews, etc all confidently claimed the new version on par with the old Phil Collins version from back in the day. Nowadays a virtual “Who’s Who” of Rock has come out to catch them live, including members of YES, KING CRIMSON, DREAM THEATRE, STEVE HACKETT, ADRIAN BELEW, FOCUS, THE DIXIE DREGS, , METALLICA, RENAISANCE and others...
In 2017 Dennard secured his professorship at Berklee College in Boston, and in stepped Kenny Grohowski on Drums – and that’s when the flame turned into a full on fire. Kenny G (as he’s affectionately called) helped propel the band to a new level. In 2019 the band started playing shows internationally, and Alex Machacek was roped in. Many see Machacek as “The Next Allen Holdsworth” as he continues to burn it up with Brand X on all international shows. (Don’t worry, Goodsall is healthy and a always a member of brand X -- but he chooses not to travel outside the U.S.)

Dining tickets include a table reservation for the evening and a delicious two course dinner. Upon arrival you will be shown to your table where you can enjoy dinner & drinks before kicking back to enjoy the show. There are always vegetarian/vegan options on the menu and we are happy to cater for any other dietary requirements - although we kindly ask (in the case of major allegies) that guest notify us in advance where possible.
The seating plans are usually communal, especially for popular concerts although we do have 5 premium booths ( the best seats in the house ) that are available upon request for each event. Premium booths require a minumum of 4 persons and there is a small additional surcharge for booking. Contact our showroom on 01825 790 200 to learn more and make a reservation. All guest are welcome to explore the showrooms (which are open all evening) before and after dinner and our friendly staff will be on hand to assist with any questions you have or purchases you may wish to make.
Although we recommend dining tickets as the best way to experience our events, we also have limited room for standing guests at most shows! Due to the intimate nature of our restaurant, standing guests are invited to use the dedicated standing bar area inside the showroom until 15 minutes before the event. Guests are welcome to browse the showrooms, make use of the heated garden decking and visit the Roger Dean gallery until the show begins.
Due to the intimate nature of the venue the you will never be more than 40 feet from the stage. Expect incredible acoustics and an electric atmosphere. There is room around the main dining area for standing guests and staff will point you in the right direction on the evening.
To allow diners the space to enjoy their meals without crowding, we do try and encourage standing guests to arrive from 8pm onwards. If you wish to arrive earlier to explore our showrooms then you are still more than welcome. Please note that our tickets are non-refundable
Please note our doors open at 7pm. Tickets are non refundable however in the unlikely event a concert is cancelled, a refund will be offered or a credit note issued.
Unless otherwise stated all concerts will begin around 9pm and generally finish between 11.15pm and midnight.
Shows will usually consist of two 45 minute sets with a short 20 minute interval although this may vary between events. Please check the event specific information on your tickets after purchase.
