An evening of 3 wonderful acoustic performances leading into our Steve Hackett weekend

The Concert

An evening of 3 wonderful acoustic performances leading into our Steve Hackett weekend.
Featuring Amanda Lehmann, with support from Burr Island & our very own Will Coupland.

Prior to performing with Steve Hackett at the weekend, Amanda will be showcasing acoustically her highly acclaimed debut album 'Innocence and Illusion' amongst other songs from her back catalogue. From prog rock to blues, jazz to folk, Amanda's music will reel you in and captivate your emotions.

Burr Island are an Alternative Indie Folk duo, from the West Country. Their close harmonies and introspective lyrics take you on an intimate, melodic journey in search of meaning and value. The duo, comprised of best friends Tom England & Oskar Porter, explore themes of growth, beauty and truth searching in their music. The pair take their inspiration from the works of Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Crosby Stills & Nash, Nick Drake, The Beach Boys and Cat Stevens as well as modern Artists like Johnny Flynn, Fleet Foxes and Big Thief. Often described as a modern-day Simon & Garfunkel, the West Country pair grew from strength to strength in 2022 with several headline shows, plus recording at Kundalini Studios in Devon with Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials). In September, they supported Steve Pilgrim & Paul Weller at Union Chapel in London, before embarking on their biggest venture yet, a UK December Tour with Ocean Colour Scene, playing at multiple o2 Academy venues and music halls. This June they supported Tunde (Voice of Lighthouse Family) on his UK Tour and they’ll be reunited with Ocean Colour Scene for their UK Tour in December 23' which they’ll play with a full band.

Will Coupland aka The Boy That Folk Built is a solo singer-songwriter (as well as a member of the Trading Boundaries team). He takes inspiration from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Bon iver and Radiohead, drawing on their arrangements and lyricism. Performing numerous gigs around Bournemouth he has developed his range of covers and songwriting skills and recently supported 10cc's Graham Gouldman with great acclaim at TB, and we are looking forward to him returning to our stage.
